Nicki, I’ve been asked to alter a bridesmaid’s dress as the bridesmaid is currently 4 months and showing a lot. The wedding is in two months so she will be 6 months and the dress they ordered has a waistline which she already cannot zip. The bodice has boning but is also too large in the bust. I am thinking about converting this dress to a empire but have never tried this before and am wondering if you can give me so things to be aware of. Also how hard is it to cut down the boning?
For tracing patterns, I use the paper that comes on pads and has light blue lines. It’s easy to align the straight edges of patterns and keeps the pattern as drawn!
I’m just giving to watch and listen.
