I love the patterns from Mood, I’m looking forward to perfecting my sewing skills :)
Thank you for these challenges
There aren’t any instructions with the patterns. Am I missing something? The link says both should be there.
Hello Margaret,
I do apologize for any inconvenience. When you click on the link below; under each type of garment, you will click where it is highlighted in pink and says Download the pattern and instructions here. I did a test and downloaded the pattern: The Brya Pants to my computer successfully. It showed up at the bottom of my browser on my computer.

I made the infinity scarves but added pockets for my keys and phone
Hello! I just got my fabric and am so excited to get started! I see on most of these, they say “download pattern & instructions”, however, when I do, I only see the pattern with no instructions. Where are the instructions? Thanks!
Is there a size chart? I have downloaded the patterns I am interested in, but there doesn’t seem to be a size chart… or instructions for that matter.
Hello Caroline,
Thank you for contacting us.
There is a size chart and instructions on the blog post for each article of clothing on Mood’s site.

Hi there, thanks for organising this challenge – I’ve downloaded the patterns but I can’t see the instructions. Any help? Thanks!!
YOUR DOWNLOAD STATES “PATTERN AND INSTRUCTIONS”, BUT THERE ARE NO INSTRUCTIONS FOR ASSEMBLING THE PATTERNS. ONLY THE PATTERN ITSELF IS IN EACH DOWNLOAD. WHY ARE THERE NO INSTRUCTIONS???? THANK YOU
Hi Christine,

Where do we post pictures of the things we make?
Hi Connie,
While there isn’t a way to post pictures of the projects you’ve made here in the class discussions section, you are welcome to visit the National Sewing Circle Facebook page to post pictures there.
We would love to see what you’ve made!

I can download the patterns from the line under the picture, but there are no instructions. . Where do I find the blogs that were mentioned on one of the videos that have pattern instructions? Is there a link that you could send to me?
I am able to download the patterns but there are no instructions.
About the Emilia Sports Bra. When clicking on the picture I only go to the tips video not the instructions how to do. And a big thank you for this great tutorials and tips you share! Now i´m ready to start sewing again!
Anxious to try these. Thanks for sharing.
It says “Download the Pattern and Instructions Here” but there are no instructions…only the pattern. I went to the Mood Fabrics website and found a Lavender Tee tutorial but it doesn’t look like the same tee as pictured here…???
I wondered about that too. The photo here seems to have an overlay wrap but the pattern doesn’t have this at all.
Submitted BAM Error (Many Customers asking about this)
Hi!
I’m super excited to start and have just watched the video at the top introducing the challenge. In that video it says that there will be written instructions with the patterns, photo tutorials and videos showing instructions too, but when I use the “Download the pattern and instructions here” link for the patterns I want to try out, all I get is a pattern with no written instructions! And the videos of the patterns I’m trying out don’t show step-by-step instructions either. So I have a few questions:
1) Where will I find the size guide & the fabric yardage requirements?
2) Where will I find the written instructions?
3) Where will I find the step-by-step video instructions?

Hi looking forward to this challenge. Never made anything like this before. May I ask how do I bookmark this page so I have it in the future. Have been using/watching a lot of videos you offer and they’ve been so extremely helpful. Thank You, Ruth
Where are the instructions for the patterns
I downloaded the pattern and instructions for the Lavender Tee, but it was only the pattern. There were no instructions included in the download.

The instructions for the Boxwood don’t appear with the pattern. Where can I find those?
There is also no size chart, yardage, or finished size measurements.
The link for directions and pattern only takes you to a pattern download. Are there no directions for these patterns?
Can we use fabric from any source or only Mood?
Thank you
Love your patterns!
Look forward to enriching me life and others with your support
What pattern sizes are available? And is there a size chart for determining the correct size to make?

I am, basically, slightly more than a beginning sewist. I definitely interested in learning how to sew athletic clothing.
So glad they actually have a sight to purchase this type of athletic material
What time on January 15, and where do I find the sew along. Is is a video, or do I get emails?
Hi Renee. the patterns should go out by the afternoon. Emails will be sent out with tips/tricks for sewing the more difficult parts.
Thanks

Will I need a serger?
New to sewing athletic wear.
New to sewing active ware. Excited to sew the different fabrics used.
New to sewing active ware. Excited to see the different fabrics used.
I would like to give this at try.
I’m so happy
My 2021 challenge to myself is to learn how to use the serger I inherited, and to get back into making clothes for myself. Maybe then I can get a good fit!
Great get inspiration, tutorials and patterns to make something with fabrics just waiting on my shelf….
There are no guy patterns?! My husband is asking for athleisure pants. I will come up with something.
We’ll see.
I just signed up for the challenge, it appears that we need to be ready to start sewing when the pattern is released on the 15th of January. If I am correct in that understanding, how are we to know how much fabric we need or is it packaged accordingly for the pattern? Thanks much, look forward to your reply. Meredith
Hello Meredith,
Thank you for contacting us. The site has been updated. Under each picture of the item, you will see the amount of fabric needed. And what kind of fabric is recommended.

I am so excited to work with these fabrics. I have only done small scale children’s clothing and not adult with athletic fabric.
I registered for the Oh Sew Active Sewing Challenge but did not receive a confirmation email. Where can I find how much fabric is needed for the projects? Thank you.
Hi Krista,
Thank you for contacting us.
Our partner (Mood Fabrics) wanted the pattern links removed until Jan 15th when the videos are released. The intention is right now all participants should buy the fabric for the projects, then follow along with the videos on Jan 15th. We have reached out to them to see if we can get the fabric requirements, so far we haven’t gotten those.
Sorry for the inconvenience of not knowing how much fabric is needed. Stay tuned.
Sincerely,

This looks very fun
I am excited to work through the tutorials for working with athleisure patterns and fabrics. I have wanted to do this for a long time. I have even purchased a few patterns for activewear and have a few pieces of activewear fabric, but I have chickened out on actually making the garments I want to make. Thanks for offering this opportunity to learn and practice.
I really want to participate and have an idea what projects I want to do, however it’s very hard to purchase fabric without knowing what kind of yardage you might need. So, why not at least provide that before the 15th?

have trouble with fit of purchased garments
I am looking forward to this challenge! I understand the patterns will be released on January 15th, but in order to buy enough but not too much fabric, we need to know some approximate yardages. The Byra pants need jersey fabric, compression fabric and legging fabric, surely they don’t need the same amount of each.
Thank you!

Looking forward to sewing these projects. I have not sewn much with negative ease fabrics.
Hoped that there would be men’s or unisex patterns available. Ladies patterns only should have been noted in the login
I’m a professional seamstress, but always want to learn more, especially about working with athletic and leisure wear fabrics. We never stop learning! Can’t wait for January 15!
I have already signed up for the challenge but do not see how much fabric and notions required for the patterns. I’ve seen several people ask this question but the only response is the patterns come out Jan 15. This information is not in the received email or at https://www.nationalsewingcircle.com/article/oh-sew-active/.
Where do we find this info????!!!!

Great I have never sewed this type of garment before. Should be fun.
This is my first time entering a sewing challenge. Other than sewing what is involved?
Umm, I’m a bit confused. We have to have our fabric ready, and we don’t find out until 15th January. I would like to know how much to buy. Also I live in a country that’s metric, so will have to convert.

Looking forward!
I would like the opportunity to test my sportswear sewing skills.
I’ve never made an activewear outfit. This would be inter making one. Can’t wait.
This challenge was perfectly timed, just started a job in a pharmacy and we can wear whatever we want, most of the team wear yoga clothes. So excited to start making my own comfy clothes for work. ❤️❤️❤️
Sewing this is a challenge for me – but I need to learn a new trick!
The “Thanks for signing up for the Oh Sew Active Sewing Challenge” email does not seem to have links to fabric requirements. I’ve clicked on a few of the items and on a few of the fabric links without success.

I can’t wait to see these patterns. They look like so much fun! I’ve never really worked with jersey before so this will be a new experience for me.
Is it possible to see a size chart for these pieces? They’re very cute and I’d like to participate in the challenge but before I buy fabric I want to be sure they will fit me.

Hi Joan,
It seems like some information is missing. There are types of fabric listed and links to the store, but no sizing chart or yardage information, so there is no way to know how much fabric is needed.
Hi Jordan,
The challenge is not starting until 1/15/21. There will be more information to be released. I have been trying to get more info as well and I will certainly post here whatever I find out to other people that are asking the same questions.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
