From old trousers to handbag
Did this in my cabin this summer my Inspiration was looking at the water I love the 3-D effect had a Lotta blue I had to use up and this was the result
I took apart one without a hood to use as a pattern to make this project. I purchased a blanket and cut to use as my fabric.
Pandabear's new winter coat! I used an old security coat, ripped off the patches,,, and used the waterproof material & insulation.
My mother set up a charge account for me at the local fabric store when I was in high school. If I wanted new clothes - from shirts and skirts to winter coats and swim suits, I had to make them myself. Purchases of velvet or satin needed her permission - but everything else in the store was fair game.
I was a member years ago but never knew how to access the videos. I started sewing about 60 yrs. ago with home decor, then garment but about 10 years started to make quilts. This quilt Eagle Scout quilt from his boyhood memories was to help my husband recover from a stroke.

Today, while I was at work, my cousin stole my apple ipad and tested to see if it can survive a 25 foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation. My iPad is now destroyed and she has 83 views. I know this is entirely off topic but I had to share it with someone!
High School T-shirt quilt for my nephew. With few shirts to work with and only three colors, I wanted to make it different. I used graph paper to place and determine exact cutting for each t-shirt. One polo shirt was signed by his friends upon graduation so I sit it up into rectangles with complete names and placed throughout the quilt. I liked the shadow effect to make the blocks pop.
