Either double fold or otherwise finish the raw edge of your project and fold the edge toward the wrong side and press. Where the edges meet at each corner, Nicki demonstrates how to mark the overlap on each adjacent edge of the project.
Then, with right sides together and folded diagonally, Nicki demonstrates how to stitch the corner seam and clip off the excess bulk. When pressed right side out with the mitered seam allowance open, the result is an even, perfectly 90 degree mitered corner.
