Do you have a suggestion for stabilizing/interfacing a HUGE variety of sentimental fabrics for a “memory” quilt? The person I’m making it for is allergic to cotton, so all the fabrics are either silks, lace (which has to have something under it to protect the batting), polyester (e.g., Air Force gear), wool or linen. Thank you
Hi Roberta. You can use a light to medium-weight fusible interfacing on (almost) all of these, you will just need to adjust your heat setting with each fabric type. For the polyester, since that can be tricky to use with an iron, you could consider using sew-in interfacing for those pieces.
