Napkins can be an easy way to dress up a table, and they don’t have to be expensive or difficult to make. ZJ Humbach shows you how to easily construct a cloth napkin in very little time using a serger. First she shows you several placemat and napkin combinations to get your creativity flowing, and then it’s on to the materials. ZJ explains what fabrics are the best to use and why, and also how to purchase them so you have the least amount of fabric waste. She then goes over several tools that make measuring and cutting out the fabric easier. Using the right thread, as well as setting up your serger with the correct stitch also help to make the project quick and simple, which is covered in this video. Last but not least, ZJ shows you how to properly stitch the napkin, create clean, crisp corners, and finish off the ends.
